True Inversions creates its own dialectic, away from the anti-porn and anti-censorship feminists debate, and looks into lesbian erotica as a space for engaging with ideas about the performance of passion, the social and personal forms of censorship and the emotion and the eroticization of safe sex. An examination of the sexual representation of lesbian eroticism, the film uses censorship in the most provocative moment and as a tool of self-reflexivity.
