Synopsis

In 1942, the National Film Board of Canada produced a film describing Hitler’s plan to build a world empire, by conquering the oil fields of Iraq and Iran. Using archival footage from that film and superimposed text, the film parallels the romantic tensions caused by age, race, religion or HIV status. The war footage underscores the theme of bodily alternity and its discontents.
