Synopsis

Playing off the conventions of film noir by putting them in a new feminist context, The Lady Killer examines a character who is obsessed with film noir, the style, the look, the role, and the finite conclusion of such films. She is trapped, mimicking roles of women as set out in man-made film,She is manipulated by what she sees and is destroyed by her desire to be that "kind of woman" as represented in film noir and/or her own desire to play the role. The character is followed by a man. In the end the woman kills herself to fulfill the film role.
