Synopsis

This mockumentary about a group of design-academy graduates explores the extreme visual stimulations of an imagined, yet not too farfetched, hyper-stylized world. The women we follow and the rooms they decorate, all reflect the intense artifice that surrounds the construction of our identities. Just like his queer predecessor Claude Jutra’s 1982 By Design, Shindruk’s short makes use of flashy urban interiors to accentuate the behavioral patterns of his characters and to amplify the queerness of/in their identities.
