The First Door is 23-minute documentary that examines the role Project Refuge, a “residence” for newcomers, plays in helping refugees adapt to Canada. By following resident coordinator Sylvain Thibault as he supports residents with post traumatic disorder, addresses homophobia amongst residents, and keeps Radio Refuge on air, the viewer witnesses how Project Refuge offers much more than a safe place to sleep.
