Synopsis

Made in collaboration with Ken Fketcher, bearing the influences of many artistic genres from the 70s, performance and body art come together in this piece where Ken fletcher draws several milliliters of blood out of his arm to immediately re-inject it Paul Wong’s back. As the camera focuses on Wong’s back, we see his skin turn from red to purple as the bruising results as a response from his immune system. What was once a ritual to bond two men together becomes today a dangerous act, in an era where AIDS evokes fear and anxiety.
