Filmmaker, singer. A graduate of the Universities of Toronto and Berlin, self-taught Toronto-based Richter is a veteran of the underground/Super 8/DIY film scene, and a perennial of queer community festivals since the early 1990s. The camp aesthetics of abjection are her forte, whether the stench of bars (Infidel, 1999, 13) or cleaning out the tub (Old Butch, 1995, 2). Richter, a sometime drag king performer, celebrated uniform drag inDressed to Drill (2002, 4).
