Visual artist, video maker. Toronto based visual artist working mostly with video and projections, Owen Eric Wood obtained a journalism degree from Ryerson University in He then obtained a B.F.A. from Concordia University in Studio Arts in 2007, completing his masters degree in studio arts at the University of Windsor in 2013. Identifying as a gay man, his work explores and challenges concepts of identity where his subjects are often called out to reinvent or appropriate their own image. His gallery work consists mostly of video projections onto 3-dimentional objects. He also produced a series of self-portraits where he filmed himself in various locales and many different states of minds. His videos were screened in most queer film festivals and experiential film festivals around the world.
