Filmmaker. A finalist of the Jim Burt Writer’s Guild of Canada New Screenwriter Contest in 2003, Nicole Chung has a few short films under her belt. Her critically acclaimed film, Sweater People(2005) was screened at, among other places, the Images Festival of Film and Video, Frameline San Francisco, the New York and Brazil MIX Experimental festivals, and Toronto Reel Asian. The story of Kate, a university student living in a low-rent district and trying to get her electricity turned back on, pay her tuition, pass school, and find love, won Best Canadian Female Short at the Inside Out film festival in Toronto. She finances her film by working as a mobile web developer.
