Writer, director. Chip Hale, a native of Overton, Texas, has worked in the independent film industry since 2004. In 2008 he directed a Canadian film, Mulligans,written by Charlie David. The film tells the story of a man who sleeps with his married straight friend, as the group of college friends get back together at a summer retreat. Though the film did not get a proper release in theatres, the film found a successful life on the festival circuit and on a lucrative online distribution deal with Warner Brothers. Hale went back to the US where directed a short, On the Mountain, and has worked at the creation of a television series, Why I Hate Bitsy Malone.
