Running Red Lights
Running Red Lights follows the life of a young Asian queer as he navigates the political and sexual complexities of his suburban surroundings on his way to a rock concert.
Made possible by the 2004 Queer Youth Digital Video Project at Inside Out, Toronto's Lesbian and Gay Film and Video Festival and Charles Street Video, this first film by Lem was well received when it was screened during "Inside Out at the Royal Ontario Museum". It has since screened at a conference on queer issues at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education of the University of Toronto and Image OUT, Rochester's Lesbian and Gay Film and Video Festival and is also distributed to high schools through Out On Screen, Vancouver’s LGBTQ educational initiative associated with the VQFF.
