In John and Michael, a NFB-produced festival favorite, Avni pays tribute to two young men with Down's syndrome who shared an unconditional, intimate and loving relationship. The film recounts the life and the love of these two men who grew up together in a group home and is narrated by Brian Davis, a close friend of both John and Michael. Animated beautifully by Avni, the film's soft aesthetic translates just how much she cared for her subjects.
