Video maker, critic, curator, activist. Toronto-based Sarra, an initiate in the Inside Out Queer Youth scheme in 1999, has provided the community festivals with several video shorts about identity, relationships and the body, including What She Is (1998, 5), about homophobia;C.L.I.T., Certified Lesbians in Training (writer/producer, 2000, 8), a mocu-mentary; and Baby Boobs, 2001, 10), a PSA for lesbians about breast cancer. A veteran of Pridevision, Sarra’s voice as a journalist and arts critic is heard frequently in Xtra! and she has curated for Inside Out.
