Self-taught, U. of T.-trained, Toronto-based Hollings is a prolific short filmmaker and Pleasure Dome activist who has made six naughty shorts for the queer and the Super 8 circuits in the 2000s, both here and abroad. Canada Sperm Bank of Satan (2002, 12) is a rollicking political allegory made on the Niagara Peninsula about a Georgia prowler deflowering Canadian boy hitchhikers after pouring maple syrup over their buttocks—all transpiring under Jimi Hendrix subverting “The Star-spangled Banner” and Celine Dion defiling “God Bless America.”
