Synopsis

Another collaboration between visual artist Andy Fabo and Michael Balser, Blood Risk is a nightmarish fantasy that explores the anxiety and social control of the body in gay community. What starts as a dreamlike film sequence soon becomes a dark exercise in surveillance and fear. Mirrors, body doubles, spies, and claustrophobic spaces are all part of the film’s distressed ambiance. This collaborative short ends with its lead character returning to his everyday life, forever affected by the trauma, with a new deeply rooted anger.
