Performance artist, teacher, video maker. South Africa-born, OCAD-trained Liliefeldt has been active in Toronto queer artists networks since the early 1990s, collaborating as performer and otherwise with many video artists including Christina Zeidler, Moores and Travassos, and a group called Machine Sex Action Group. Her 2001 video collaboration with Michael Caines, Hamartia(11), programmed at Inside Out, is a minimalist confrontation with trauma, blood, spectatorship and a woman's face staring back at the camera, with "a scrap of cloud" visible behind the eyes.
