Video maker, interdisciplinary artist. ECIAD-trained, Toronto-based Wong has worked with personal documentary, dramatic narrative, and found footage stop-motion animation since 1997. His prizewinning Beyond These Walls (1999, 7) is a lusciously crafted personal narrative about a male survivor of sexual assault reflecting on the physical and psychological aftermath, in which the innocent details of everyday living, like a drop of soup on a table cloth, bring back the fear. When living in Vancouver, Wong was active with the Video In/Out on Screen mentoring programme.
